The National LGBTQ Task Force Gala is an important annual tradition and the premier celebration of South Florida’s LGBTQ community and our allies. The Gala provides an excellent opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate, honor our heroes, and advance the movement toward equality. The Gala is also a vital fundraiser supporting the oldest national organization dedicated to achieving full equality for LGBTQ people, as well as many local South Florida community organizations. Learn more about our impact here.
This year we celebrate 25 years! The 2021 event will be held in an exciting new venue: the newly renovated Grand Ballroom at Miami Beach Convention Center! The theme of this year’s event is “Imagine…” Once again, the evening will begin with a red-carpet entrance, a cocktail reception, and a silent auction featuring the very best art, jewelry, fashion accessories, home furnishings, vacation packages and more. As the evening progresses the crowd moves into the glamorous grand ballroom where appetizers and dinner are served before a state of the movement address by the Executive Director of the Task Force. Awards are presented to local and national honorees who have positively impacted the lives of LGBTQ people. The evening wraps up with live entertainment over dessert, and an after-party featuring a local DJ.

**Ensuring and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for our attendees is of primary importance to the National LGBTQ Task Force Gala Team. As we prepare to return to an in-person Gala, we understand that safety looks different for each of our guests. In our effort to manage expectations for the evening, our team has put together information about what the Gala experience will look like as it relates to COVID-19, accessibility, and public health. All guests will be required to submit proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test (taken within 72 hours of the event), sign a liability waiver prior to check-in and will be temperature checked upon arrival.
