How do I learn more about the National LGBTQ Task Force?

The National LGBTQ Task Force the oldest national organization dedicated to advancing freedom, justice and equality for LGBTQ people.

We’re building a future where everyone is free to be themselves in every aspect of their lives. Today, despite all the progress we’ve made to end discrimination, millions of LGBTQ people face barriers in every aspect of their lives: in housing, employment, healthcare, retirement, and basic human rights. These barriers must go. That’s why the Task Force is training and mobilizing millions of activists across our nation to deliver a world where you can be you.

How do my guests decide to sit with me?

Your guests can choose to sit with you when purchasing a ticket by selecting your name from the “Table Captain Selection” dropdown menu located under “Event Preferences” when purchasing tickets to the Task Force Gala – Miami.

What happens if I don’t sell all of the seats at my table?

When you commit to filling a table, we consider those seats sold and include them in our attendance and fundraising calculations. We expect you to honor your commitment as a Table Captain and be responsible for ensuring we receive the revenue from those seats.

Can the Task Force help me fill my table?

Unfortunately, we cannot help you fill your table. However, we will provide you with online resources that will help you sell your seats. If you require additional information, we will provide that as well.

How do I get started?

Promote your involvement via social media and email.
“Like” and “share” the National LGBTQ Task Force Gala – Miami Facebook page with your friends and family. Invite them to join you in supporting the Task Force and dozens of local LGBTQ programs on Saturday, October 7 by purchasing seat at your table.
Let your family, friends, coworkers and classmates know about your commitment to filling a table of 10 for the Task Force Gala – Miami, presented by Wells Fargo, and how they can join you on Saturday, October 7.

What is the deadline to sell my seats?

We ask that all seats be filled for your table by Friday, September 22.

What if I have more than 10 people requesting to sit at my table?

Tables can seat 10-12 guests comfortably. If you plan on having 12 guests at your table, please notify Lisa Mercado at lmercado@thetaskforce.org or by calling 305.571-7294.
